My counsellor has decided that I need ‘long term’ help so is going to refer me to someone more ’specialised’.

I feel like this is going to throw me back. It took me a couple of months to trust my counsellor and open up to her, and now I’m being referred to someone new and I’m going to be back to square one where I don’t really open up. Gah!

Just take your time and go at your own pace. Any good counselor will understand.

I guess … just feels like I’m going right back to the beginning which isn’t really helping me.

I know that it feels that way hun but really it’s going forward….I always way one thing “Nothing is forever and everything will change”
Change is needed to move on with life itself, with out change we would be at a standstill in time… I wont say I “swear” to you but i STRONGLY believe this will be the best thing for you sweetie:)

Look at me, when ever they would switch me up on med’s I would think the same thing and sometimes even cry but now i see that it was the best thing for me…now i’m good:)

I know EXACTLY WHAT U MEAN!!!

Ive had 5 cunslers in 7 years and I went through heck

Its tuff but try to understand they are gonna be akward too…

I think I understand why she’s doing it, she’s only a school counsellor and is only meant to have 12 sessions and because she’s not as trained as other people (e.g. psychologists) she wants to give me to someone else … just can’t feel like it’s going to screw me up a bit.
