Hmmm. Modelling is a tough profession. I was part of a kids modelling agency when I was younger.

Which Is how you would have to go into the business if you really wanted to. You cant sign with a certain brand without having an agent or agency behind you.

But 5 foot 3 isnt tall. Though you are only 11 and will grow taller. For fashion modelling you dont have to be as tall as a catwalk model.

But consider the potential benefits and reasons why you want to become a model. Focus on school first. Then after you have finished approach a respectable agency.

I took a look on wikianswers, and found this, hope it helps.

To become an In-store Model, you have to apply at your local store and go to a group interview. Then once you are a Store Model, you can cast yourself to be a Marketing Model.

Good luck :)

Hmmm In-store model sounds dubious to me.

If you are looking for a modelling contract with any professional or designer brand then for your own saftey and for the benefit of a potential career you should seek representation.

But I would try out the in-store model thing if thats applicable, it may give you a short route into the buisness. And a taster to see whether or not you like it. Though It will not guarantee longevity. Though in a career such as modelling, there is no assurance of that anyway.
