You sound an awful lot like me.

I have a good hour’s worth of homework tonight. I’ve had 5 to do it. It;s now almost midnight and I will probably have to bulls**t it in class tomorrow.

May I ask a question: Are you lazy? Do you procrastinate more than usual lately?

To answer your question, no. I am normally not lazy, though recently I’ve gotten lazier with the recent assignments I’ve received.

I also procrastinated more than usual as well.

Ok, here’s how we are similar:

I hate easy assignments. I hate boring assignments. I get A’s on literally every test, unless I’m completely out of it, but my homework grade for each class ranges from B to C or lower. Right now I am avoiding an easy, boring, tedious waste of paper. A couple actually.

I have extra curriculars as well. That shouldn’t be the problem. If you were able to handle it before, it shouldn’t get away from you now. Just make sure you aren’t using them as an excuse not to do homework, as I do. =P

Here’s how you motivate yourself:

GRADES. SUCCESS. POWER. They work in that order. Getting your grades means that you will be successful. Success leads to power. Here’s your final goal: GET YOUR GOD DAMM GRADES. Screw off all you want, as long as you are keeping track, as I am, for when you need to put the pedal to the metal. Happened last week for me. Working on two solid B’s right now. But my motivation is the end result: 4.0. Yours can be whatever yuou want, just make sure it’s high. And make F**KING SURE you achieve your goal.

I actually confirmed a goal for a final grade earlier too, I just never took seriously. I’ll probably keep myself on track now.
