you cant look into the past, you must look into the future. kids learn by what they see, not whats on piece of paper. if you work hard and try then they will see this. take your ged test and get a job. usually ged tests are free and tutoring for them are free as well. lead by example and they will follow. have a nice day

Slowly and painstaking. It can be but it won’t be easy. Then again you aren’t used to easy by the sounds of it. There are to many questions to be answered to just say how to fix it. Step back, look at life and see whats wrong. Pick one thing and change it. Repeat until your were you want to be. Good luck

I think you have already started your road to excellence just by your need to improve your life. You know that there is more out there for you and that you deserve more. I would start by accepting the help that out there. Welfare, for all it faults, is set up for people like you. People who want to better their lives but need a little assistance while getting on your feet. Go to the welfare agency to inquire about training programs- I recommend nursing. My sister was in a similar situation as yours, did what I said and became a nurse. She now makes about $70,000 a year. Find a program that’s right for you. It won’t be easy but it is possible. Good Luck and I’ll be rooting for you.

I am a single mom of 3 soon to be 4. If you are able to muster up enough courage, try dancing. Yes people have negative opinions, but who cares, who are they to judge!! They’re not the ones chipping in to help you pay your bills! It has helped me a great deal. ( This is a job you can do while your kids are asleep and you’re criminal record won’t hold you back. When I first got my apartment, I wasn’t able to put 1 piece of furniture in it. I sent my kids to their grandma/dads for 1 month. During that month I busted my butt like 24-7. By the time they came back, they had everything they needed, and I was able to save, and had secured night time daycare. Don’t knock it until you try it. If you’re shy like I was at first, find a spot that does lapdancing, it takes the pressure off. Good luck.

I’m your age with a college degree and no kids. So truthfully, I can only imagine how hard it has been for you over the past 8 years. I would recommend you contact a local community college and learn about scholarships and career opportunities. There are many opportunties for single mothers to get educational benefits; additionally if you are in school many of the school’s provide day care services. If you can do well in school and get a part-time job eventually your felony will only be a marker of your past, where you came from… not representative of who you have become.

Here is just one site I found searching in google, http://www.raisethenation.org/RTNLibr…
“scholarships for single mothers”
