Quick metaphorical question.
If in fact, everything has an exact opposite, then what is the opposite of fate?

I think the same way. Fate is fate… then again I believe that fate is very weak, i feel that we weave our own life and it just so happens that a few “story lines” are thrown in your life as a fate you must over come or simply for you to learn from.

on the contrary, i actually believe it is very strong, absolute even. like when we feel that we had decided this fate for ourselves, it might very well be what was decided to be our fate to begin with.
there are only two ways, that i know of, to actually proof that this is in fact invalid: 1. if or when backward time travel becomes possible, 2. existence of such thing as absolute certainty
existance
no destiny in existance
you just exist
whereas fate implys a destiny (Y) uncontrollable but what you are destined to be (Y)

We cannot decide our fate, its the whole point of fate xD
We can delude ourselves we’re “in control” but we’re not.
And some bozo is gonna read this and think YES I DO, If I kill myself I will have chosen my fate, and as lovely as fate is get hit by a bus and die while getting the rope / gun / whatever to carry out the act of killing oneself (yeah im trying not to get that bot.
If somethings meant to happen it will, but that doesnt mean you sit on your backside waiting for something to happen either
Without a clear definition of fate, the definition of it’s opposite if indeterminable.
So if Fate is a truth of the universe, that everything happens with total causality, and the future is unchangeable, then the opposite is total chaos.
If fate is an entity that shapes the universe with total omnipotence, then it’s opposite is no less indeterminable as the opposite of yourself. We lack the ability to accurately define it’s characteristics of being, except that we could generally define the opposite to be defined by an opposite universe; black is white, up is down.

the opposite of fate is suicide.
suicide can be determined as fate, though assumedly decided and/or influenced, thus unless fate is its own opposite, suicide also cannot be.
The opposiste of fate is chaos. If things are ment to be then it is fate, thus making it orderly. It may not seem to be orderly to us because everyones fate mingles with our own. We are blinded by what is really happening all around us. And for those saying that our lives are just chaos then you are wrong. The chaotic feeling of our lives is just a reminder that we are on the right track.
Hey, I already said that :P
…ah I don’t really care, just wanted to complain about something.
