work help: I have so much work due in but I’m so behind. - Help.com

I have so much work due in but I’m so behind.

All I can do is sleep. I feel so drained, and not just physically, but also emotionally and mentally, despite the fact I’ve done no work. I just keep worrying, which then prevents me from doing anything because I convince myself I don’t know what to do. It’s a vicious circle and I don’t know how to get myself out of it.

Just keep on doing your work. If it’s work and you don’t run the risk of being unemployed because you have all this work to do, just keep on doing it.

It’s school work, my exams are in three weeks. These exams will affect my chances of getting into uni. I am a complete wreck at the minute. I just can’t seem to do anything except sleep.

You need to work up your confidence. Instead of saying ‘this will be awful’, say ‘well, i’ll do it anyways’, because anything is better than not doing it at all. Being worried about exams is good up to a point, but when you’re past that point you need to stop, take a deep breath, and simply force yourself to work. You’ll get into work mode and do a whole lot before you know it.
