He took a house that is burning and he has only been given a glass of water to put the fire out and the water is way on the other side of the hill for him to bring more!

If he accomplishes what he’s trying to accomplish, he’ll be the Savior. If he fails in that, he’ll be remembered as a Failure.

At least not all the world considers Americans to be racist pigs anymore! ;)

I say he should let all the banks fail and all the automakers go bankrupt! That’ll teach them to everextend themselves. He really has nothing to do with that. They made their bed let them lie in it. As far as I am concerned he’s doing a good job!

I think he was sent to us-he was born for this job-he inherited the biggest mess I’ve ever heard of (and we just know about the tip of the iceberg)He accepts every challenge and does not flinch. He is deliberate and methodical, and he is his own man. His wife is the same. She is comfortable being who she is and comfortable in her own skin. And you’re right, now the world knows about the Americans and who and what we can be, and what a lot of us are not! Instead of rumors and propaganda, there are ears and eyes wide open, waiting to see if this man can change the whole world, bring the planet together. We must all pray for their safety and good health. We must all back him. He is OUR president no matter how we voted. Littlenick summed it up best, but those volutnteer fire depts are coalescing and coming tohis aid. Wait and see-this person is a man of and for the people-all people, all colors, all religions-well, I’ve said enough. We just have to hang tough and BELIEVE!!!

I don’t really think race was the deciding factor at all. I think his ideas were attractive to the majority of voters so he was given a real chance.
I live in an area full of “old-fashioned” people that come up with all kinds of ridiculous stories about how he’s going to ruin the country and he hasn’t even been in office for that long yet! People need to just give him a chance and stop fighting it. He’s in office, that’s it. Let it go.

I see nothing wrong with him. I see a difference in opinion.

In regards to sarahol, yes, there was the issue of race involved. It is prevalent, and it is one of the reasons he won. We needed to show the world we were not hopeless concerning race.

Well, technically I think it pretty much has to do with it b/c all I hear the talk at school is about “We did it!” and “Yes we can!” and bla, bla, bla and a bunch of bull crap about how people said that it would never happen to have a black president in office… but IDK … who am I to say..? Just saying.. My opinion is I think that they just wanted him to be in office so they could brag and say that they done it.. So.. ??

That is to be expected-I think when it is all said and done he will be known for what he did for our country, the world, and not what color he was. I don’t care if he’s purple with yellow atripes-he is the man for the job-there will always be discussion about race, no matter what. Know in your minds and hearts that he is just a man, meant to lead us out of this cluster!!!

It was one of the major influences in this election. You are right in that it wasn’t the deciding factor, but it was a large one. Imagine Obama as some scrawny liberal white guy. It would have been a different election.

I didn’t say it wasn’t a factor, but he had a whole lot of people from all backgrounds that voted for him. He didn’t just garner the black vote, he had the vote ofthe PEOPLE-and the people have spoken-Like I said, some people will always want to discuss it. The black vote alone would not have elected him or any other person. We all came together in the bottom of the ninth! Rise above it and join the masses that know it was the right thing to do. THere are forces out there that would love for everybody to get tangled in a wad about race and forget about what is really important. THose people want to divide us, and see us fall. I am definitely not ignorant, and I am proud to be a supporter just like all of his other supporters no matter who they are! This is not meant to be a contest, so I will leave, just know that discrimination comes in all forms. Hopefully, we are headed toward an enlightened future.

Well if Obama won 100% of the black vote and only that, he’d have about 14% of the vote. Of course he wouldn’t just want the black vote. What he did was inspire guilt in Americans to feel obligated to vote for him. Not saying he did that intentionally. Race just has a powerful influence on people.

I for one researched him and his values and believe that with him we have the best chance of success and prosperity. We shall wait and see.

I get the point you’re making, but no one said it was not a factor.
I said that I don’t think it was a DECIDING factor. Of course his race is what pulled some votes in, but I think many voters were looking beyond the color of skin at this point, to decide the best choice of the two. I’m glad the rest of the world can see that this country can look beyond race, for the most part..but I still don’t see that as the deciding factor. That’s just my opinion.

I think he’s a trend.
I feel sorry for all those who voted for him, as they will feel like idiots when they discover how terrible he is for this nation.

Of course, they may never know what he’s done…he’s an absolute genius and can cover up anything he wants to! He uses the method of distraction to keep us from realizing what’s going on, and holy cow I’m amazed at how well it works.

We’re screwed.

No, you’re screwed for putting all this negative energy onto this site-he is just a manthat is well-educated, family-oriented and loves his country. You just must be numb from all of the crap we have had the past two decades, and just can’t bring yourself to believe that Obama may just very well be the one we need to lead us out of this mess that he had nothing to do with it’s creation-Just because he can read and write and think outside the oval office doesn’t mean he is a “trend”. okay. Einstein, so who do you think would be better? Please let us all know, who would be better-at least he is not just a puppet and figure-head like the last 3 administrations and beyond…so let us know!!

His wife said that she would “finally” be proud to be an american if her husband won. Doesn’t sound like a patriotic family to me.

I think he’s a trend because half of the people that voted for him jsut did it because he’s “black” and “omg we have the first black president we’ve ever had!” and crap like that. (he doesn’t eve act black…he’s like the whitest black man I’ve ever seen)

And what was wrong with the last two decades? We enjoyed surplus and luxury, like right before the great depression. Every surplus ends in a famine, and that’ what we’re going through right now.

We’re in economic trouble right now, which means we’re short on money. So why does he want to spend more of the thing we’re missing 10 trillion of already?

if you would have paid attention to history class, you would have learned that over the years there have been many times of great depression in various countries, and they only got worse when the government nationalized business, then every time they privatized businesses, the economy improved substantially! Doesn’t anyone know why we’re taught history? Why don’t we use our knowledge and not learn from past mistakes??

personally, I think that had Mitt Romney made it, he would have been a great president for these times. Not only does he have extensive knowledge about economics as a very experienced businessman, but he’s even proved that he can fix it when money is scarce, in the 2002 olympics. If you want to know how Romney saved the olympics with his economic genius, look it up.

My advice to you would to be to research what you’re talking about before you try to discredit someone who HAS researched.

You know, this could go on and on, but let me just say this to you-I am not trying to discredit ANYONE-it doesn’t matter what happened in the election in the U.S.-I would have been disappointed if Obama hadn’t been given a chance, but no matter who was elected, I WOULD HAVE SUPPORTED MY PRESIDENT-the world doesn’t need to see or hear about being divisive-freedom of speech, I know-but he is our pres, so give him a chance! You know, you might be right, but you also might be wrong-I know that would be hard for you to process, but it could happen…you are very angry, suggest you enjoy the life that you have-it could be a lot worse, and there wouldn’t be an internet for you to spread your infinite wisdom!!!ENOUGH!

Oh,my what a wimp-I was not anything but calm-no anger-I, like you, am extremely amused with people who want to start a pissin’ contest and tell everybody about their knowledge-I trust in God and believe He will take care of us, regardless of what happens-no use to get all in a wad-everybody has an opinion, and can hopefully continue to express those opinions! I use !!! just to make a point and I was not yelling-If I had been yelling the mods would not have let it go thru-I was not offended by you-at all-perhaps that is what you wanted-As far as thinking about things, pal, I have gone places I am sure you haven’t, and I hope you never have to-so enjoy your life and quit thinking you know everything that is of any substance and that there is no possiblity that you could be wrong sometimes-i have been wrong a lot in my life, and have grown-so should you, go forth and grow as a person and acknowledge that everybody is entitled to voice in this country-

You can’t very well expect someone not to get “loud” and passionate about their opinion when you “calmly” attack it. You said that everyone that voted for him will feel like an idiot because he’s wrong for this nation. You can’t possibly predict what’s going to happen & how people are going to feel about the choice they made. I’m sure if someone said you should feel like an idiot for the choice you made, you would feel pretty offended. Everyone has a right to say what they think. Both of you do. But at the same time, it isn’t fair to insult in that way and then get all upset when someone returns the favor. You did attack all voters of Obama, saying some followed a trend because of his color, and that they should feel like idiots. You’re the one that brought it to that level.
