Does anyone have any tips on how to make bruises disappear quickly?

I was admitted to hospital last week and had drips here there and everywhere and its left me with awful bruising (I look like a smack addict…) and just wondered if anyone had any good home remedies or concoctions that have worked for them?

Thanks in advance :)

Here are some simple home remedies:

Solomons Seal Root in a bandage or rags gets rid of bruises within hours.

Vitamin K creamicon applied topically (this vitamin is not normally taken orally except through a physician) will heal most bruises within 48-72 hours by causing the blood seepage in the affected area to clot. Major food sources for Vitamin K include green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, green cabbage, kale, Swiss chard, turnip greens, broccoli, tomatoes, liver and lean meats and dairy products.

Use a cloth soaked in natural apple cider vinegar Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar and cold water as a compress.

Immediately apply distilled witch hazel to the injured area using sterile cotton. Witch hazel will stop swelling in a remarkable hurry

Fantastic! Thank you! I’ll try the Solomons Seal Root one first, where can you buy that?

You might be able to buy it at a vitamin store, but apart from that I think the only way you can get it is from an herbal remedy store online. But try the vitamin store, like GNC or vitamin world, they may have something, ask the salesman.

Arnica - but I think you need to apply it just after an injury but before the first bruising comes through. Might be worth a try though

Ok thanks, I’ll grab some Arnica too, just incase it does work, the bruises are really bothering me so I’ll try anything!

Arnica comes in gel or cream form… pick some up and have it at home anyway for the next time you bump yourself and think you might bruise… it works better the sooner you use it but it still works wonders on older bruises.
