I feel like a troll that needs to hide due to obesity of 240 pounds on a 5′1 frame.

When I was in my teens I weighed 115 pounds at my current height. How can I go about losing weight without feeling defeated before I start?

there’s the whole thing, you have to make sure you start off with a positive attitude and make sure that you know that all the weight won’t just “melt off” like they show in the commercials. i know it sucks, but you have to watch your diet. you also need to excercise, and depending on what you feel comfortable with you could go joggging or try weight lifting. you could work out in a gym or if that idea fills you with horror (i hate the idea of workign otu in public) then you can work out at home with a few simple pieces of equipment. but remember you’re NOT a troll. you’re a person. and i know you’ve probably heard this talk before but the way society defines beauty these days is unhealthy and perverse. please don’t go on a diet/work out schedules so you can become one of those soulless anorexic looking people who think its “hot” to look like a Holocaust survivor. beauty should be somehting that you find within yourself, then work your way to the outside and choosing to fix things, not to fit society’s standards, but to be healthier or get active or try new things. don’t let losing weight become an obsession, it was mine for a while, and believe me once you hit obsession stage you definitely get “uglier” than “prettier” so to speak.
