Talk about whether teenagers should be forced to do volunteer hours in high school. That was one of my standardized test writing topics. It’s not too hard, and you should feel pretty passionately about one side or the other.

lol Im doing the same thing. I’m doing mine on antibiotic resistance. You better not be in my class and steal my topic lol. Other topics ppl have done were lowering the drinking age to 18, censorship in music, std awareness, divorce, child marriage, global warming etc.

The way I wrote my essay was that people should not be forced to volunteer. I talked about how I personally enjoy volunteering and I wouldn’t want to be with people that were forced to be there…blah, blah, blah. But I did have personal examples that you couldn’t really use so I don’t know how much this will help you.

Also you could talk about the effect of tv on children. (It’s not a bad influence/it is a bad influence because…)

talk about a controversial topic
that always gets peoples attention lol
talk about:
gay, bi, lesbian
wether parents shud hav the right to hit their kids
voting age, drinking age, driving age
legalizing illegal drugs, etc

wel u wud jus mainly hav to state ur opinion as to why they shdunt b able to
and then after u got ur opinion, try to make other ppl beliv wat u beliv
u do this by presenting facts and ideas
exmaple: they shudnt b alowed to hit their kids becuz kids r defensless and will prolly grow up to b emotionally and even fisically scarred
then u get some articles on child abuse and u mention some fun facts about that, that tie in with ur point of view
exmaple: many parents are child abusers and cross the line wen it comes to disiplining their childern
etc.. u jus go on about it like that
main idea is to have a view on the topic
then get evidence and facts that back up ur view
u mention these facts breifly
and then u say how they tie into ur point of view
and u do this with about 5 or so facts/points
then u conclude it by saying ur main point [wich u sed at the begining] and then lstly say: and this is why parents shudnt be allowed to hit their kids
if u think about it, its jus like an essay, only difference is ur gonna b bascially reading it out loud
