If theyre actually pretty easy questions and you’re just being lazy then no. But otherwise if you’re having any trouble then post what your having problems with and I’ll see what I can do :)
its hard maths

first one: 650=6.5×10with a n in the top of the 10

Like?
Sigh. Thats not hard math.
it is to me whats da answer
Well you would first rearrange to get 10^n=something, then take the logarithm of base 10 of both sides.
what
It is simple algebra. Also, nobody is going to give you the answer just like that. They might talk you through how to do the problem, but that’s about it.
Well 650/6.5=10^n
n=10th root of (650/6.5)
=10

Yeah even though I just did, it is a very simple question, and you wouldnt have been set it f you hadnt been tought the stuff. If you cant do this then you’re screwed for the exam.

That is how you get the answer. I literally just told you right there how to get the answer.

Actually that is incorrect. n would equal log(650/6.5) and not the 10th root. The end result should be 2.
how do u get 2

Good point. I actually said that in the beginning as well, why did I do that?? lol.

Use a calculator, or know something about how logs work.
how do u do it on ur calculator
log(650/6.5)=
or
log(100)=
You cannot be serious now right?
There should be a button on it that says “log” or “log(x)”
If not, then you have a pretty crappy calculator.
i still dont get it
please help me
robbie, what is 650 divided by 6.5?
100 yea but how do u get 2
what is 10^2 (10 squared)?
100
how do i get da answer
If 650 divided by 6.5 = 100, then 650 = 6.5 x 100
If 100 = 10^2 then 650 = 6.5 x 10^2
savvy?
i dont get it
650 = 6.5 x 10^2
then n = 2
(the ^2 means squared)
how did u get 2
that helps
Do you understand that 650 = 6.5 x 100?
Do you understand that 100 = 10^2?
Do you understand that 650 = 6.5 x 10^2?
k ,can u help me with the next question
Post it and I’ll have a go.
k,thanks 48000=4.8×10^n
Same approach again, 48000 / 4.8 = ?
What is 48000 divided by 4.8?
10000
Do you have a button on your calculator with log on it?
If you do, press the log button then 10000 and press = , what do you get?
Other wise, how many times do you times 10 together before you get 10000? put 10 x 10 into your calculator, keep multiplying the answer by 10 until you get 10000, How many times did multiply by 10, including the original 10 x 10?
is da answer 4
Alternatively, you could count the number of 0s in 10000, how many are there?
All those methods will give you the same answer 4, which is the answer.
thank you
