aw i wish i could help! But i’m not much of an animal person lol…maybe ask someone you know that has cats and dogs as pets? Or google? Or call a local pet trainer/expert and ask them for advice?

I train dogs. ONe of mine excepted my new kitten like a friend. The other wanted to attack it. At he first sign of an indication the dog want to hurt it. u step boldly inbetween facing the dog and growl at it. You are telling it the kitten is part of the pack. Do this with the dog on a leash 1st.

remember u r the alpha in the house. The way u act will rub off on the dog. Dont be nervous when u try it as it will make the dog nervous. Give the dog a treat when it submits and doesnt look at the kitten.

Keep them in separate rooms when no one is home for a while until they get used to each other.

That would be fine, especially for a kitten. Just make sure there is fresh water, food and clean litter available.
