My skin on my arm is really hurting. - Help.com

My skin on my arm is really hurting.

Like all the nerves are on the surface, it has been going on for 2 days now. It is only one arm and it isnt all my arm, its on the inside of my hand where the thumb joins down to my wrist and around the elbow area. It feels horrible and is really uncomfortable and hurts if even my t-shirt touches it. Anyone know anything to make it better/go away??

a few questions…

Do you smoke?
have you come in contact with poison ivy lately?
Might it be a sum burn?

There is no redness or itching, its completely normal apart from the fact like it feels as if you are pushing needles into my skin if anything touches it. I have had it before, it has come and gone, but two days is the longest I have had it constantly. And sleeping is a pain with it!
