## Math related- Is there an easier way to do this?

I’ve been called unteachable, so I really need help. I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing. :/ Apparently, it’s easier than how I do it.

The problem is

[(x^2+11x+30)/(3x^2-10x+8)]*[(6x^2-8x)/(2x^3+4x^2+8x)]

I don’t even know how to simplify the second half of the thing!!! I’m so confused and I have no idea how to do anything!

The way i do it is I simplify the two mini equations, then multiply them together, then simplify again. But apparently I’m supposed to combine them like so…

(x^2+11x+30)(6x^2-8x)/(3x^2-10x+8)(2x^3+4x^2+8x)
And simplify the entire equation like that, w/o multiplying. HUH?!!!? I’m so confused. How do I simplify the (x^2+11x+30) with the (2x^3+4x^2+8x) and the (6x^2-8x) with the (3x^2-10x+8)???!

I’ve paid attention in class so I don’t know why I’m not getting it. I keep getting called unteachable and I need to finish my homework. I know I’m not going to do it… But I still want to know how! It makes me so mad when I don’t get things that everyone else does.

Oh I hate this!! I am doing this in class as well. I seem to think I understand it in class, but when I get home, I always get confused. I can’t help you much but remember when simplifying: you can simplify FACTORS but you canNOT simplify TERMS.

Are you in Algebra II, pre-ap???

Ugh. I have no idea what to do. I got sick and didn’t do any homework. She assigns so freaking much. Almost 70 problems a night!!! And I have 7 other classes that assign the same work load. I have 3 missing assignments about to be 4. I’m so stressed. I just want to say screw her, and skip school tomorow. But I can’t. :( I’m really worried about next week. I’ll be taking drivers classes that last 4 hours after school and I won’t have any time for homework…
I’m relying on my finals to let me get good grades this six weeks. ugh. I’m so screwed.

the equation can be simplified as:

[(x+6)(x+5)]*[2x(3x-4)]/[(3x-4)(x-2)]*[2x(x^2+2x+4)]

Cancel the like terms and proceed with furthur simplification of the remaining.

Help me with: Who can I turn to?

If the expression you have written is correct, then I got it to simplify to x-11+(91x+322/x^2+11x+30).

Help me with: Insignificance.

Ok, it’s all been figured out. I’m not going to bother messing around with it since it’s over and done with.
Right now, I’m curious, does anyone know how to *using long division* divide (x^2) by (x-1) Aka, (X^2)/(X-1) ? My father was trying to help me, but he’s a couple hundred miles east of here somewhere right now.

It’s been a while since I had to do math. It will click with you and you will get it. Look for a pattern. I hope this link is helpful:)

It’s important to write out all you work….even if it’s a simple step. Like terms together. Do you remember the “laws” of math?

btw the most sucessful people in the world have been called unteachable…lol. You just require a good teacher:)
