panic attacks?
anyone have any ideas on how to stop a panic attack? im hvaing a really bad one now… and i dont know what to do. ive had them before but im basically home alone right now… and i feel like giving up. and im just a complete and total mess. HELP ME PLEASE! i cant take this anymore.

What’s making you panic?
well watch anything on tv search for a movie on youtube ummm do anything you can to keep your mind off it
Don’t try and keep your mind off it. Focus your mind on it. what EXACTLY is it that is pushing you over the edge like this. Don’t let yourself be swept away in panic or depression, try and stand above it and analyze your thoughts objectively as to why you could be in a state of panic.
Take a bath and then get some sleep.
Sleep is really good, especially if you can’t.
My friend gets these, he makes sure to drink lots of water…and go get air when he has one. He’s recently started taking pills for it…while it makes for a comical experience it seems like the pill alter him quite a lot XD I wouldnt reccomend it.
Pills are a lot of fun. If you can get them prescribed I’d say go for it.

Hahaha yeah except that they made my friend who has anxiety practically high in class and we nearly both got pwned because we were laughing our ***** off and had not read the material either >.>

i dont usually throw up with panic attacks but i kinda started shaking uncontrollably and i think that caused it :S idk
but i kinda feel a bit better now actually… still not great though.
ive got NO idea what started it!!!!!!!! im not worrying about anything and i felt totally fine! it just hit all the sudden!
and yeah im on meds. not pills though………
i used to be on pills but the doctor switched me to liquid cause everyone thought i was gonna O.D on the pills… and apparently most people dont O.D on the liquid cause it tastes like **** (which it does)
but anywayyys. yeah im drinking a lot of water…. i feel a lot better now cept everything feels like its on fast forward.. i cant really explain it…. my mind is racing, im talking really really fast, im jumpy and even my heart is racing… idk whats wrong with me :S i mean its not a bad feeling but its really annoying :S
You have to be in a completely quiet area and just stop thinking of everything for a little while and you have to breath slowly. It’s only rough when you start to stop it but it will go away.

Do fear the attack.. it cant kill u
To instantly feel relief lie or relax sum where with calming music like suggested above and concentrate on breathing. fill tour lungs all the way and gently exhail out all the way.
The carbon dioxide build up that happens when we dont exhail properly cause the shakes and hyper feeling.

ahhh i know. i try.
its just so hard!!!! it feels like death. like nothing can stop it and im just gonna waste away slowly like this!!! it messes up my brain! i hate it!!
anyways, im gonna try and sleep now… its almost 1.

Attack it face on.
Rescue remedy is a great spray u can get from a heath shop.. it may giv u sum relief.
Are u always a bit panicy or has this happened outta the blu?

umm not so goood…. i didnt have my meds today (i couldnt.. long story)
and i think im having withdrawall…. im going crazy. :\
Hmm, you know it may be a good thing. Meds can be useful but long time use can develope bad concicuinces later. Anyway, I hope you feel better, it could just be a bad moment right now.
Dont ever stop taking meds cold turkey, u will have withdrawls.
Why couldnt u take them?
umm basically i was going to go away for the night with my mum…. and the meds wouldnt fit in my bag so my mum put them in her bag.. then last minute i decided not to go and i forgot to take them out of her bag… so yeah :S
next time that happens u can go to the drug store explain what has happned and they will giv u medication for one night.
If ever u feel an attack coming on when u r at home, put on utube, write in funny cats, and that will relax u… laughing is good like that.
Remember it is all in your head. It is your body going into fight or flight mode.
It needs to be told there is nothing to fear, relax your sholders and do some nice slow breathing.

yeah i guess… i tried watching youtube, listening to music, writing, slow, deep breaths, lying down.. everything i could think of! but nothing helped…
im just scared i guess.. i dont wanan be like this forever.
It could be something else that you seek, something that’s harder to explain but would make you feel better, or something that you haven’t come across before that would help. Maybe something similar to that?

How long hav u been on medication… and is it an anti depressant?
yeah its prozac. its for like EVERYTHING haha. ive been on a few different medications before to but this is the one that works best for me.
i might be though… i mean, anxiety runs in my family… my dad, my sister, my aunt, my great aunt, my uncle… soo many people in my family have it… yet still no one seems to understand… ive had it for almost 5 years now… its been tough and i just cant even PICTURE living without anxiety…. idk :S
Yip me too. I deal with anxiety daily… and put it in its place.
When u feel yourself getting up tight, you imediatly take a deep breath.
Some of us are naturally hyper people… and its not a good thing.
You have to mentally calm down.
You will live without anxiety. You must put it in its place and keep it there.
Get am allegy test done too. Something in your diet or enviroment may be making u aggitated.

i just wanna be like everyone else again y’know? i mean not really… like i love being different.. being my own person. but i wanna be the same in the way that i want to be able to do NORMAL things!!!!! like even go to he mall without having to worry about something!! or go to school!!!! it just drives me crazy :( i feel like such a misfit

I really think some alternative treatment in conjunction with your medication will do the trick.
Meditation.. it will be the holiday your brain has been craving.
Do research this, it will have nothing but benifits 4 u.
You gotta change the way your brain reacts to certain enviroments.
I have a plan 4 u…
Learn to meditate…
U will need a quiet peaceful place to do this.
It is easy and sooooooooooooooooo relaxing.
Listen to meditation music.
Take your brain on a journey, somewhere beautiful, doning wonderful things.
Once u r good at this..
Make part of that journey in your head into calling into the mall, seeing something u love, buying it and leaving… keep the visits in your metal journey brief and happy…
Eventually u will have enough courage to go to the mall, even if it is brief, cause your brain associates it with good things.
I could go in depth more.. but thats enough 4 now.

yeah im kinda doing better… ive got this appointment tomorrow though that im really freaked out about… so thats not helping much… but after thats over i should be fine for a while (:
yeah. ill try excercising more. that might help. but its just when im panicking i gte REALLY weak… like i cant stand up or ill basically collapse.
that feeling is natural hun.. just like when someone freezes when they have a fright.
Do take deep breaths when u start to feel weak.. it is a lack of oxygen in the blood.
Try this also…
Sit down when panicy
say to yourself… Ill just hold on for 3 seconds…. Sit there do nothing but relax..
then done it! Another 3 seconds.. yay done it again… You can stop an attack, u just gotta take control from your out of wack instincts and tell your body…NO there is nothing to fear I Am fine!
Whats your appointment 4? Dont worry about it. 2moro is 2moro. What will b will b. No thinking about and getting worked up is gonna help. Refuse to think about it. Find something else to do.

umm my appointment tomorrow.. i have this thing called scoliosis… its to do with the spine. and im going to a specialist tomorrow to see what i gotta do… and im just kinda worrie dill need surgery….:S
plus they said expect to be there for a few hours… and idk. im just kinda worried i guess cause i dnt like the unknown…thats te biggest thing that causes panic attacks for me.. but oh well… im trying REALLY hard not to panic.

scoliosis.. me too. My bottom part of the spine. I have been to a chiropracter for a year and finially it is straightening out.. I can put it in myself too.
Is it lower back? If so u can try this..
Try standing on your tip toes and lean back to the right slightly.. then again to the left.. u gotta do it like u drop yourself and catch yourself as far back as u dare.
I hop this gives some immediate relief to your back ache.
Dont even give tomorrow a thought, just do it. The more u think about an event in your head as a negative thing, the more your instinct tells u to fear it… its only natural.. your body is putting it on the same level as war or something… its not, it might be a really good thing to go to, make it so… bribe yourself with a treat afterwards.. think about that.. not he doctors visit u are going to on the way…

i get pannik attacks , ansiaty attacks, you have to remain calm if you feel extremly trapped by them it makes me feel worse
try think of something that calms u down , i used to try picturee a field with grass big wide open spaces, go to your doctors though and expalin this to them just so they know whats happening
