ok so im writing this essay about my strengths.
this is what i have so far.
(Preparing for this essay that you have given me has been particularly difficult. If you’re wondering why, it’s because I can’t seem to find a personal strength. On the other hand, if you asked me to write an essay about my weaknesses, I could write you a book. From that last statement is where I found my strength. I am very good at finding my weaknesses. All right, I know that might sound like a strange strength but everyone’s unique, right?
Generally, focusing on your weaknesses excessively is considered a weakness in itself. That might be true but, in my opinion, it’s just as much of a strength as it is a weakness. When people know what their weaknesses are, they can try to fix them. For instance, there’s this girl, lets call her Alice, who has a terrible temper. Alice gets angry at the most insignificant things and it’s affecting her relationship with her friends and family. If Alice never realizes that she has a problem with her anger, she will never try to seek help for controlling her anger. You can also think of Alice as a broken computer and Alice’s anger as a virus. If you never look for the virus you will never be able to fix the computer.
At this point, your probably thinking to yourself “Okay Melissa, I see how this could make sense theoretically, but how has the ability to recognize your weaknesses ever help you personally?” )
the problem?? i can think of a time its helped me!!! anyone have any ideas??
