dance help: So there’s this whole concept of rhythm. - Help.com

So there’s this whole concept of rhythm.

I don’t seem to be able to understand what it is. If I’m at a dance party, my friend’s will say I’m offbeat. So my question is, how do I stop that from happening.

I notice even when I’m at church that everyone seems to be clapping in unison. They seem to do it without effort, but I have to look at someone else’s hands and try to match my clap with theirs. That’s simple enough, but the second I stop looking at their hands I’m again out of sync.

I’m pretty sure both of these problems are related and aren’t really serious, just embarrasing.

Rythm has to do with the pulses in our body… your heart beat, your breathing, your walk, even when we talk we are rythmic. Maybe you have a different rythm than most people. You just have to adapt to those other rythms…

nope… you can learn it… just have to adapt to them, your body will start responding… it’s a natural prosses… I’m a musician, I’ve had to go through this process. It’s doable, for everybody and anybody.
