I need help with I-tunes please!

I have some songs that i downloaded from a friend in an MP3 file format and i was wondering how do i put these on Itunes to put on my IPod, i’ve tried adding a file and folder and it doesn’t work?

put ur song on itunes, usually if the file is not compatible it’ll just automatically convert them, then connect ur ipod, it’ll show up on your itunes, then just clik ’sync’.

i keep double clicking on them and they won’t go in?

what won’t go in?
there are a small tick boxes on each of the songs, make sure it is ticked
or if it is on a playlist, just drag and drop the playlist to ur ipod on itunes
