Site management has given up, but we haven’t.

Yeah it seems that way, the list is endless.
I keep saying we should all petition to get Jeff back, when he was in charge of fixing things it ran so smoothly, all you had to do was shout him and he would get on the job.

Why’d they give up? This thing gets heaps of traffic from the lost and helpless.

Yeah because it is at the top of most searches, it doesn’t get traffic because it is the best site out there.
It is a shame because this place could do so much more if it was maintained but they gave up months ago, actually, I think it is close to year now.

Would it be possible for some of the active users to take possession of the site?

I doubt it, do you know how much CBS bought this site for off CNET?
It was in the millions and even all of us together would not afford anything like that.

Could we contact CBS? If they bought the site for such a price they probably want it maintained.

It’s nt really the site they are interested, just the name, well, thats what I have been told before. *shrug*

Meh, corporations unfortunately do it for the money and that’s it. Management doesn’t care, nope. They want it to gain profits, they want it to prosper into something bankable, nevermind that this site is HOME to some people, or we’ve actually saved lives from people who have come here on last intentions of living, that couldn’t care any less. As long as the moolah keeps rolling in, this site could be pro-suicide and they still wouldn’t give a flying ferret.

It’s quite sad, actually. If they’re not tearing it down, they’re leaving it to be consumed by anarchy until it’s crumbling on it’s own from negligence. Such is the way of big business. Bunch of robotic, greedy leechers. Hell, if I knew enough about it, I’d manage the entire thing for free.

Oh, and yes. It was sold in 2007 I believe. Around that time, I think Rocky was the active administrator. At least he was when I joined that October.

I think it was last year some time..
After Rocky had left I am sure.
I remember Rocky, KT and Jeff, now they earned the title admin!

Mods, yea, Dani and samm mainly, mitzy pops in once in a while but there only seems to be 2 at the moment that do anything, well even samm seems to have vanished off the radar at the mo too :S

Hmm, I’m pretty sure it was just after I joined in October 2007, but I could be wrong and it was early last year. Rocky was admin when I joined.
