My dog had been missing for a few days which was odd cause we live out in the country and they never wander off…

i finally found our dog under the bed dead, and blood everywhere. She was a happy go lucky healthy dog that died suddenly, WHY?

My dog died the same way. She had a heart attack and her heart exploded inside of her and blood came out of every orifice in her body. I was sad for a long time. :(

wow, I am so sorry to hear that.

Blood!
Where did the blood come from? As in where was the wound and what did the wound look like?
Taken the dog to the vet to see if they can determin a reason?

I think the dog was injured maybe. They crawl under things when they are injured.

Under your bed? You didn’t smell anything beforehand?

im not sure where the blood was coming from when i looked under the blood it was brief cause i couldn’t bring myself to do it myself. I had to go get some help to get her and clean the mess. I will for sure ask more questions when he comes home. She was nine yrs old if that will help.

It wasn’t under my bed it was under my brother’s, I found her last night and she went missing wednesday, he left thursday morning and wont be back till sunday. So he shut the door when he left and so the smell stayed in the room. But trust me it hit like a brick wall once i opened that door.

****, thats harsh. Could the dog have died because it was shut in the room?

of course not. Dogs hide when they are injured. 3 days without food or water would not kill it.

No, she would’ve for sure have sratched at the door, i was home most of the day thursday and there was someone home all night thursday. Before i left for work thursday I checked everywhere i could’ve including my brothers room, it did smell some what, but he is 11 and doesn’t take care of it properly and i figured it was food or dirty clothes (boys will be boys). I didn’t think about checking under the bed cause i had hopes she was alive and if she was in there she would’ve came to me.

How long was your dog missing? You said you noticed a smell? Mine was an outside dog that broke his chain. He has broken chains before and always come to the door. This time he didn’t but my niece heard him barking EARLY the day he went missing. We looked EVERYWHERE. That was Wednesday. Today is Sunday and we finally found him… dead. We have high grass around the deck cause the lawnmower died. He was found at the foot of the steps at the deck in the tall grass. Just a few feet from his dog house. I looked there. He was not there even Thursday night. We’d had no indication that he was around so I had not checked the area there the last couple days. How long does it take a dead dog to start stinking? He was swollen and had the stentch. Still trying to figure out what happened to him. He was such a sweet dog. Its killing me to think he could have been so close and we didnt know it.
