Just smile with whichever smile feels the most comfortable to you.

try to remember at key points in the day, like on the hour, to do like a huge yawn, and loosen up your face muscles. Check with yourself and see if you are clenching your jaw too. Your shoulders play a role in that too. Slumped over looks tired, angry, upset, depressed.

Also, half open eyes either look sad or stoned. if you keep yourself in check through the day and stretch…just remembering to keep yourself in check, will keep yourself aware of how you look and will help.

if you are desperate, write down a butt load of funny stuff on little pieces of paper, keep them in a little jar or decorative box on your desk and pull one out every once in a while…
good luck

Compose yourself well. Stand up straight like don’t hunch over when u walk or anything like that and walk like you’re trying to do something. I don’t mean speed walk but dont walk slow and look at the ground. A smile hear and there wouldn’t hurt

You are right, you don’t want to have some kind of goofy grin like Pile from Full Metal Jacket. That being said, there is something magical about a smile. I go to school at Texas State. There have a few times this semester where I will be in a room where something happens that leaves me with a big goofy grin on my face. When I leave, grin still plastered on, walking down the halls, people passing by just light up. The affect is amazing, to the point where I’m trying to learn how to be like that most of the time. Like you, my default face is one that concerns people (I’m told I look angry).

The smile thing really is amazing. It charms the hell out of people. Give it a shot.

Some people just have faces that express sadness. usually when I make note of these people they say and ask what’s wrong they say “oh no, thats just how my face looks!” and I always laugh and admire them for their honesty and being comfortable with themselves.

We’re all going to say the same thing “smile!” but you cant just walk around smiling all time, your face would hurt and it would be fake. Just look at your face and say “this is my face”. And be okay with that because really - you can’t do anything about how your expressions translate. Be happy, healthy and the rest is out of your control in this case.

just relax your face muscles. being tense makes people look unhappy. maybe like try and make your lips look smaller so its not like pouting

I have one of those faces-usually I am in deep thought and people always ask me what’s wrong-I always tell them I am thinking about the job and my next thing to do-lately, it hasn’t happened, and it used to aggravate me, the people asking, but not that I don’t have a job, I kind of miss it, if you know what I mean! Now, I really am unhappy but my face looks the same-Such is life…….

Wear a tall collar so people can’t see your mouth and hair that hangs over your face, that way you can hide when your just thinking and come out of it with a big cheer full smile when necessary.

Sunglasses! if you’re too lazy to smile, they wont exactly make you look happier, but they can make u look less nervous, more composed and collected. More cool.
I dunno. Or!wear something that makes you feel better or reminds you to be haPPY. OR listen to music when you’re walking around, happy music. Hope that helped

Yeah I actualy noticed sunglasses can make me more talkative from not worrying as much. Thats really only a bandaid for a problem though.

Happy music is good if you want a strutting walk =P

It is a bandaid. O! another good thing about sunglasses, you can stare at people but (if your glasses are good) then other people can’t see you looking at them. I think its fun. Also, they help when you don’t wanna be noticed while you’re absorbing the atmosphere, or feeling troubled. The eyes are a window to the soul so you’re kinna putting curtains on the window.

Overall; if you wanna look happier, maybe you need to FEEL happier. Sort out whats making you unhappy, or try to surround yourself with what makes you happy.

And strutting can also hellp boost your mood. Groovy Arashi music helps me *^_^*
