In love with best friend.

I’ve heard many times before that true love comes in many different forms and shapes. Well, that turned out to be true.
I learned that the hard way. I only say that for the simple fact that I love - more than I love anything or anyone else in this world - my best friend, rather another woman, just like me.

Anyway. Coming out wasn’t a problem at all. It doesn’t bother her, but for what I’ve learned, she lost her confidence in me, specially because I tend to keep too many things to myself, incluiding important things like that - and she, on the other hand has told me things that she wouldnt dare telling anyone else. Actually, she claims she doesn’t know me anymore. I’m very afraid I may be losing her friendship, and that was what I feared the most.

She demands me to tell her the truth, so that she can trust me again and mend things up. Thats the deal: I trust her and she trusts me again. She knows I do love someone - and wants me to tell specially this, but what she really has no ideia is that someone is her, actually. I’m sure her reaction wouldnt be a good one.
What should I do? Tell her that I love her, for many years now and risk compromising our frindship, or keep it to myself, not trusting her with that and lie instead?

Any sugestions would be a great help!

If she wants you to be that open she cares about you either way so i dont think it will hurt your friendship. Go for it and only good should come out of it, dont and only bad.

I’ve heard many times before that true love comes in many different forms and shapes. Well, that turned out to be true.
I learned that the hard way. I only say that for the simple fact that I love - more than I love anything or anyone else in this world - my best, female, friend.

Well she’s pressing you for openness and honesty. And you need to have that whether you end up in a love relationship with or or if you expect your friendship with her to survive.

I’m in a similar situation. I fell hopelessly for my best friend in the world and it can’t and won’t work on every level there is. He’s much younger than me, we live on different continents, etc. Still, I love him with all my heart. He knows this. He knows because I was behaving weirdly, confused about my feelings and not wanting to tell him. We did finally talk and although he told me in no uncertain terms from the get-go that all he wanted with me was to be friends, GOOD FRIENDS, and naturally I was deeply hurt, and still do love him very much, our friendship has survived. It’s had weird moments, but we both recognize that our relationship has value and would do nothing at this point to destroy it. And that was four years ago. So see? It can happen. You might end up being lucky and your confession might be better received than mine was. Let us know how it goes.
