Just need some thoughts on a really fast question,
Do you guys unsuscribe from posts often? Yes? Why? No? Why again? I’ve never done this more than once or twice so I would like to know…

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
i unsubscribe when the replies start to get stupid or silly. or if i really tried to help the person, and its obvious they dont want help. I lose interest at this point.
does that help?
yep… pretty much gives you a what not to do when you have a post ^^

That just sums up how I sometimes feel.
so now we have and opion that has been second!… that gives me more of a reason why not to do all that. What about when the post turns into a personal conversation between two people?

It depends on whether I find the conversation interesting or not, if I do then I will stay a subscriber to find out what happens next. When they turn into two way arguments I switch off.

Ditto
Ah, and i will give you this example too.
I will most likely unsubscribe from this post soon, since i am not that interested in why others unsubscribe from posts.
if this post takes a more interesting turn within the next 2 or 3 replies, i will follow, if it keeps going in the same vien, i figure i have contributed to it and will learn nothing i value from it.

marked it as seen is just one click away. dont even hv to open d post again
so this is one i am unsubscribing to, along with this one below
You said you didn’t know how to, I was just showing you how.
I unsubscribe if I dont think anyone is going to respond to anything I say or its just an unimportant chatting post. I stay subscribed to all the serious ones.
I used to do it when I received email updates on replies to a post that I was subscribed to. Normally, if the post detoured to another topic or got lost in a frivolity then I would no longer wish to be apart of it. But now, I have canceled all email access from Help.com so that my inbox doesn’t get bombarded.
I made sure to get rid of email notification, that would be like thousands of emails daily lol
a lot less often than i should. when i lose interest in a post, yet people continue posting in it, i tend to unsubscribe just to stop getting notified of it.
ummm… i have never unsubscribed… i havent even bothered to set up unsubscribing.. just because im lazy : )
