EDIT: I feel like the luckiest person in the world right now.

A coworker of my fiance found out what was going on and volunteered to loan us 400$. He came home with it and I nearly cried. With the bit of money we have and his pay check were going to be able pay the rent. Even better, I talked to the property mgr. and she agreed to extend the due date by 2 days to this Friday!

—————————————————–
I’m out of money. Straight up, they want my boyfriend and I to surrender our apartment on the 13th. My car about to be repossessed on the 22nd. I was laid off at the end of February. I qualified for unemployment but when I took a part time job at a fast food restaurant a good friend manages, I accidentally miss reported what I was making and the unemployment was suspended two days before May rent was due. It’s still under ‘investigation’ and after going into costly overages on my prepaid phone I still have no real answers. The hectic environment of the fast food gig was too much and after being treated with nothing but condescension, utter disrespect, and false accusations by other management; I left the fast food gig.
My grandmother has given me what she can of her social security and her sister has loaned me a car payment to catch it up a little. My family’s over extended and the bf’s family has nothing.
I’m nearing 60 applications and resume submissions for every job in my real skill range and I’ve gotten 2 phone calls.

I’m 23, working on my associates degree in acting, and have 4 years experience in hospitality guest service!
I am nearing my 2 1/2 month average of being jobless.

Rent was due on the third, it is unpaid. With late a late charge it’s $840. We have barely half that, and they won’t accept partial payment.

My car has a repossession notice on it, which goes into effect on the 22nd unless I can make another 439$ payment.

Electricity will most likely be cut off within the week and internet access is not to far behind which buts off virtually all links to online applications that about 90% of businesses that I’ve looked into, require.

I am scared…

…Of how to deal with what is about to very well happen. Of being defeated and losing people dear to me.

I’ve put my self out there every way I know how with out sacrificing my standards. The return on that investment has been two phone calls, one interview, zero REAL work.

Tough times for many people, i do sympathise.

Perhaps you may have to move in with some relatives, and hopefully get a job very soon, and you’ll be able to save up some money and progress to where you were a few months ago.

You’ll bounce back up. You may have to live in a shelter for a little while probably and then you will get a job and find a better place etc. Don’t give up.
