I just want 4 numbers.
Thats all. Not too hard right? WRONG? and you know why? coz I can’t read an income statement properly.
I’m doing an accounting thing at the moment and I thought it would be pretty easy, just fill in the blanks but the questions don’t correspond. Eg, Net Profit Before Tax (NPAT) isn’t anywhere at all in the Annual Report! or it is but I’m so sleep deprived I can’t find it. OR ITS A CONSPIRACY! AND THE ALIENS HAVE RENAMED NPAT TO something fancy like profit/loss before something something something. . . .
All I know is that if I was to fail, I would be able to live with it, but this is a group assignment, and probably the only reason I’m still trying. I don’t want to ask the other team members because I’ll become dependent on them for the rest of my pathetic days in accounting and I don’t want to put it on them. I just need a magical person who can decipher the coded messages in here so I can find out:
1.Interest Expense
2.EBIT (Earnings Before Interest and Tax)
3.Net Profit Before Tax
4.Net Profit After Tax
that’s all I want. 4 numbers. but the Annual Report is a pdf that is 140 pages long and even though I do the Find thing, I can’t find it.
Is any body out there.
