Well if you feel that you are able to act like an adult and smoke than you better be able to handle the consequences like an adult

Child! WHat in the **** is wrong with you? For one thing, they cost so much how can a 13-y/o afford them? Look, You don’t even want me to paint the grotesques picture that I could about some of the people I have seen on their way out of this world because of smoking-they look like monsters, because cancers eat holes through their bodies, and their lungs don’t function anymore and they gasp for breath with eachlittle movement like reaching for a tissure to cough of wads of crap coming up from their lungs-YOU are insane, immature, and ignorant to start this at 13-It is not cool, it is dangerous and will eventually ruin your life-and oh, by the way,guys really love it when they lean over for a kiss and you smell like a F****** ashtray! I know, I’ve been there-the love of my life said “I don’t date girls that smoke” and I said, “oh, those are not mine” and I put them down-he probably saved my life!!!Have you also been smoking loco weed-put those da** cigarettes down and take care of the body the good Lord gave you-and I hope they do tell your parents-If you’re smoking, how can your parents not smell it on you? Chiclets? I mean, think about it-Be cool and lose the habit-and if your parents smoke, ask them to please do it outside-tell them you want to live a long, happy, disease-free life! Geez! !

I got addicted to smoking when I was 13, I started very young because well everyone was doing it, my sister also supplied them for me and there were stores that would sell to minors. I incredibly regret that decsion, just because I thought it was cool cause my friends were doing it. I am 20 now and I can’t go an hour without smoking, I can’t breathe, I always have to cough up the mucus that’s in my throat, I freak when I don’t smoke, I can’t do regular activties like swimming or running, I have lots of stairs in my house and by the time I make it back to my room I am completely out of breath. Your not going to listen to me when I say quit while your still young, but you will know your mistake when you get older. You may say I smoke to deal with things or whatever your reason is. My excuse is because I have aniexty, but in reality smoking is the thing that is stressing you out even tho you think it’s helping. I wouldn’t be scared to get caught, I would be more scared of your health and getting cancer in the end. Btw I am 20 and since I started smoking at an early age I look older than my sister who is 25. =/

I am concerned for this girl-I see too many that if they had had someone like me tell them the aweful truth they might have listened-it is rampant and killing lots of people-she is old enough to take on smoking, she is old enough to hear the truth! I was not putting her down-She wants to act like an adult and smoke and be cool, then she can handle someone being honest with her-honesty, instead of, awe, we really wish you wouldn’t do that but it’s your life, does more good to educate a teen about the real world and in the real world, tobacco destroys lives,and it is a long, grueling, horrendous death with multiple hospitalizations, winding up on ventilators, cut from A-Z-this is not a time to coddle anyone, they need to know the truth! I stand by what I say-you do adult things or so you thinkthey are adult things and you are cool, well, then you can darn sure listen to the truth-and men have told me they do not like womenwho smoke unless ofcourse they do it too and enable each other-Nicotine addiction is harder to beat than a heroin addiction-so this little chick needs to know that she has been given the facts-plain and simple

Crap I wish I listened to you when I was her age, I probably would have quit.

Look, this is very close to me-my mother died a horrible death from lung cancer-gruesome-she was a nurse-she was loved by the whole town-she was the one my friends went to when they were in trouble instead of their ownparents-she was amazing in many ways and she is dead-and it is unspeakable what docs did to her because she trusted them-my friend of over 4 decades smokes 2-3 packs a day-they brought her home from the hospital when she was 2 days old and put her in my arms-that’s how long i have known her-and she is slowly dying from smoking-I am an ICU nurse and I see it at work and I see it at home-I only tell the truth-I would not have edited my post-I read it before I posted-Kids have heard the “F” word-sometimes that and the mention of a boy will get their attention faster than anything else-this is not a time to be Nurse Nancy, it is a time to wake up and realize the facts and act uponthemaccordingly-I have my own addictin that I struggle with and I am my worse critic-I do not cut myself ANY slack-I respond better that way-I get moving and act to stop my bad behavior-if this offended thatchild, I am not sorry, she needs a kick in the pants, and for someone tosit her down and say “We love you and we want you to be with us for as long as the good Lord will let you, so lose the cigs” I’ll take a break, I have to go look fora job tomorrow-I have my own crap to deal with-good night-and I know you were concerned about profanity, but sometimes it is appropriate-it was a judgement call, and I stand by my call

Can anyone really get to teens, either with good manner or even tough love, i dont think so….when i was 14,i had all kinds of advice, my uncle tried to be extremly nice to me,my father offered me money to quit,my mom through shoes at me(once she knew) but here i am 6 yrs later still smoking…..i dont think ANY of the replies above have got to this girls mind.the only thing could be done,would be for her parents to stop her,,or distract her to other stuff maybe,eventually her parents in my opinion are the only ones who could stop her….guster32 good luck tomorrow..
