I think love is an amazing thing that has been used many times in the wrong way. It’s really sad when people throw “I love you” carelessly around. Love is something that people should be open to and accept. Love doesn’t have to equate to a romantic feeling. Love is the feeling of wonderfulness between friends, families, and even self-love (don’t get me wrong, nothing like egotistic!). Love isn’t selfish or loathing; it’s open-minded and happy!
I define love as the feeling you get when you finally crack your back after months to years of trying
saying love doesnt exsist is like saying beauty doesn’t exist. yes sometimes the beautiful can turn ugly but it doesn’t mean it was never there. how to explain beauty? you cant because it is so different with each individual, just like love. but you can give a broad idea of it. for me love is the willingness to sacrifise for another. love is selfless. love means wanting for someone, or something happiness, health and the well-being of that person or thing. but it hurts. why? because love can be so strong and have such an effect that when it turns on you, and it may because nothing is perfect, it kills you inside. that intense, overwhelming, hard-to-breath, crazy-about-you feeling is what makes it worth it. and you can fall into love, just like how you fell into it in the first place. like i said, just because it turns ugly does not mean the beauty was never there.
The way I’ve been thinking about it is that you get annoyed with that person and instead of just holding it in you fight about it even though it’ll get the other person mad. You aren’t afraid to say something to them, and you don’t have to censor your thoughts for them. It’s like no matter what they do you’ll be there for them but you won’t always be there for them to cry on your shoulder. Sometimes you have to let them fall on their *** but you will be there to help them back up and teach them what they did wrong.
Love is carelessly thrown around a lot and that is really sad because that also means that people either believe to eargerly in it or don’t believe in it at all. There is also a lot of ways to love, either it be in a friendship or in a romance way.
I agree with Raining Sky, but *my* definition would be a commitment built over time, a deep trust. No such thing as “falling in love”. The only difference between love for a girlfriend/spouse and love for a friend is that you want to screw the spouse.
“All you need is love…” I think love and tolerance could solve a lot of societal issues.
I see love as an intense emotion created by certain combinations of characteristics or stimuli, resulting in the conclusion that this other person or thing’s existence is more important that one’s own.
If she swallows, it’s love…
Well unless you are paying her it really does mean a lot. Sorry if I infringed upon your delicate sensibilities… not really but I feel better for having said it! Wait, let me beat you to it. Dr. Ralph you are an a$$hole!!!!
I don’t believe in “love” defined as wanting to spend a lifetime or eternity with a person. I don’t want to spend twenty years with a person. Certainly not every waking minute of every day, or all of my leisure time with another person.
As Dr. Ralph has implied, love is a very good source of protein-swallowing is nobig deal-being there, well, that would be way better than swallowing, being there is love-if they don’t show up whenyou need them, it definitely is not love-Love exists, and I have experienced the magic-I hope all of you will have the same opportunity in your lives-there is nothing to compare when it’s right!
The Most Honored Fabulist Ra the Elder (Robert Heinlein) defined love operationally as “Love” is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own… Jealousy is a disease, love is a healthy condition. The immature mind often mistakes one for the other, or assumes that the greater the love, the greater the jealousy.
