how do you split a website vertically?

if your creating a website

to put something on the left and something on the right.. but in 2 different sections..

or does it have to be left to right

i basically want a small section just on the left side of the screen..
then have the main part on the rest of the screen

You have to set up frames. Pretty easy. ummm….

if you need help or a template, let me know and I can send you one that I have used for years.

Now if you intend on having multiple pages… all written by hand.. I would suggest using php with a css style sheet. That will apply the entire layout to each page unless you specify otherwise.
