Financial : Can anyone please let me know what all the money the churches collect is really for ?

Most churches have so much money in there bank accounts it is just unbelievable. They are suppose to be there for the people right. Then help me to understand why so many good people who have fallen on hard times get turn away when they ask the church for help. I know that the Salvation Army are out there doing the Lords work. But for the rest you please tell me,as I just don’t know anyone that the other churches has help financially.

Before a number of collections, at the churches I’ve visited they’ve stated where this weeks collection is going to depending on the time of year. Like when they pledge money to a different cause.
As for the generalization of the church failing to assist people in financial troubles, I’m assuming that churches don’t have massive wads of cash to just hand out to people because the collection, well, I’m pretty sure petty cash, and is called so because its petty -Little, trifling, or inconsiderable, Lacking importance or mean or ungenerous in small or trivial matters.
I don’t see people emptying their wallets to help the church that has to deal with maintenance of a large facility and the cost of the land that its on, the light repairs which can be on high ceilings, heating which is outdated and inefficient a majority of the time (unless you live in the city where they have fancier churches- however they usually have higher ceilings there), electricity bills, the printing of the weekly programs, the paper for the weekly programs, cleaners? for windows or if the priest or pastor is old and doesn’t get much assistance in their community from anyone.and any damage done to the church, like graffiti or broken and stolen things.
Just wondering why the church being blamed when the government could do a whole lot more as well.

Surly there must be some church treasurers / ministers that can answer this question. Maybe the good people that give a tenth of their wages / salary to the church can help with a answer to this question. At this moment it seems only three people go to church as there has only been three replies The question still remains why are the churches not in the front row helping the needy ?
