Is anybody here taking grade 11 English, grade 11 biology or grade 11 Modern History?

My baby brother seriously needs to pass. He has no graduation credits, but these three would be so he would only need another yr and a half before grad, instead of two full yrs. What did you learn in these courses. I need to teach him everything that I can, and FAST! Please, any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I took all of those, but it’s probably too late, quarter ends in 2 weeks, dude. Best for him not to pass and learn from it.

I agree, but my parents can’t afford to house him too much longer. If he doesn’t pass at least a few courses school might not let him back in the fall, bc he is almost too old anyway. (long story) My mother wants to pay me to tutor him. I need the money. I have a family to feed.

He is getting:
just under 60% in one course,
just under 50% in another and
just under 40% in the last.
I think pass is 50%, but it could be 60%
If pass is 50%, then that means that he is passing ONE class, and could pass a second if he tried, the third is very very ify, but I’d guess he couldn’t pass. It bugs me so bad that he doesn’t try!

One is 15% bc he hates the teacher, 3rd time taking this. She is the only one to offer it. Not even worth trying to save and the 5th class is not a credit that counts towards grad.

no clue: taken AP classes all HS, so I’ve no clue about normal curricillums, or those outside of Illinois. best to triage under 40%, focus on fixing what’s wrong, and do some crisis control.

Very funny, LOL. Thanks for trying. I have to ask, what is AP class? I’ve been on anti-depressants too. They really helped me. Been off for 18 months now. Yippee! Thanks for trying to help. I really appreciate it.

Anyone know of things taught in the curriculum?

AP: advanced placement, earn college credit in high school by taking an equivelent class

11 English is probably literary rhetoric and criticism, as well as american lit.
bio is easy, but it depends on the topic
modern history: everything since Nixon usually.
