I’m no longer my sister’s “maid of honour”

I know I just posted something a few minutes ago (my random rant), but I thought I wouldn’t have anything else to say. I was just checking Bebo and my sister wrote that she now has her maid of honour for her wedding in two months. Her best friend has last minutely decided to join my family for the big day in New York. I know the maid of honour has to be married, incase no one was aware of that, I only learned that recently myself. I just feel like I’ve been replaced, this has been organised for a year now.

Maybe it’s not just that. My sister had my nephew two years ago and I was passed up for being godmother, the position went to my future brother-in-law’s sister, who MY sister now hates. Her reason for this was that she’s her boyfriend’s only sister, but I’m HER only sister. But I accepted it because I’m not planning to make any family members godparents because I think it’s better that way (my sister gives to receive). More present for the kids :-D

Anyway, I still feel as though my sister keeps shoving me to back…

Hey believe me when it is someone as close as your sister you will keep giving them chance after chance and they will continue to hurt you over and over… How do you actually feel about this situation… I mean will you maintain a relationship with her after all this.

I feel annoyed, but she’s been a pain about this whole wedding thing for a year now, so she has me dreading the event, making out that she’s the reason I’m going to New York at all. Which is a lie because my parents were supposed to take me last year, that’s when she announced it.

It’s natural that she is a pain in the neck about the wedding…. all brides to be are…. they are either worrying over stupid things like do the napkins match the button holes or they are stressing over the actual big day. How old are you?

My wife’s sister is a total loser… we have bailed her out of jail, let her live with us, moved her, helped her get a divorce just basically done every favor she has ever needed for 20 years and she still treats us like $hit. Never even calls or talks to us unless she needs more money. Nothing you can do when your family is evil. Just smile and remember you are the better person.

Ah no, my parents have booked the flights and hotel. No backing out. Besides, they see it as my holiday rather my sister’s wedding.

So go on the holiday…. doesn’t mean you have to attend the wedding.

Can you take the vacation there, but not attend the wedding? If they don’t like it, can you pay themm back for hotel and flight costs?
