Stunna’s poem of the week!

I hope everyone enjoys this weeks poem, it really felt good to write about my own thoughts.
It’s pretty introspective.

“Unpredictable Seas”
You keep me hanging on, practically pulling me in
Pushing my thoughts out, let me take ahold of you
Grasp my hands, break me down like this
You’re the only one I would take a shot on
After all, without us, without this,
We’ll be doing these circles in distress
So keep me hanging on, when I’m around you
I’m totally all that you know is right
Your heart says yes, your head says stay tonight
You’re everything that excites me
Could this be out of sight, for you to be the only one
I would take a shot on.
Let’s push your back onto this cold hard pavement
Remove this barrier of predictability, I’m hoping to
Make this out of line, break you down with
Intertwined fingers and my vulnerable emotions
You’re not the only one girl, and you won’t be the last
But I’m willing to sail onto the seas, our flag at full mast
The seas rough, tossing, unpredictable.
Like us.

I like it, I really do, it just doesn’t flow right to me. I had a hard time understanding what you were trying to portray because I felt it was cut up in the wrong parts. It’s really good- it was just a little choppy and could probably be rewritten to flow better. (just a personal opinion!! I don’t mean to offend.) =)

lol, I may just have a really sick mind but when I read “flag at full mast” … yeaaaa, lolllll, sorry!

but otherwise nice, but about the love thing… miiiiight want to branch out… lol

I seriously can’t tell you what you should write about. Its a great flaw of mine :( Write about something that means alot to you. Something that comes from you, genuine you know? I’m not saying your poems aren’t because they are, and I really like them. :D

I know you tried and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m going to try a few things to try to see if it helps at all. Normally I can write about anything. I just finished a totally random and out of the blue story about a dragon that was part walrus who was actually a prince of healthy food whose land was tooken over by a witch that turned it all into junk food.
But, I haven’t come up with anything like that, or even around those lines or anything for that matter. I think I’ll have one, then POOF! Its gone.
