Help help: I have a $2500.00 car bill that I need help paying off. - Help.com

I have a $2500.00 car bill that I need help paying off.

My hubby and I are living paycheck to paycheck and with a child on disability and my self unable to work because of a disability times are hard. We took our income tax and took the kids on a trip for a reward for doing good in school and while on the trip the car transmission went out. We are making payments but a hundred or hundred fifty a week is not good enough.

We have gotten the bill down from 2400 to 2200. The extra is to rent a vehicle to drive across state to where our car is and get it out of the shop and then drive our car home after turning the rental into enterprise. we are not asking for an unreasonable amount. We have asked the bank( denied) family(denied) friends( denied).

We are trying to not let our other bills get out of hand while we try to find a way to come up with this money.

We are willing to pay the lender back in small payments of 100. every two weeks. I know that is not much but that is all we can afford. Please help.

I am sure if you offer the dealer $100 every two weeks, they will be willing to take that. With your logic that you are using, what makes you think people are going to give you all the money in one sum lump? Give that to the dealer and they will accept it.

Sorry. No money here.

Good luck to you!

They want nothing less than a five hundred dollar payment at once.

And if you give them the two hundred dollars a month and you don’t have any more, what are they going to do, kill you? When they take you to court, you will tell the judge exactly that and the judge will tell them they’re stupid for not accept the $200 a month. Lose a little, lose a lot.

Please, you don’t even believe that.
