For the first time in my life everything seems to be going great, i have my own place, i have a good steady job and im in love with my bf.

A year ago I signed up with the Department OF Defense, and they just called on me to go to iraq for at least 6 months.
My dilemma is that i dont want to go because my bf doesnt want me to leave but my mom is in a lot of debt and the money would pull her out of the rut.
What do I do? Im afraid that If I go to Iraq to save my family, I will loose the love of my life. But if I stay my family will be too deep of a rut and will loose the house.
Ive been with my bf for 4 months and known him for much longer, is it fair for me to expect him to wait for me?

If he truly loves you he will wait, you don’t want to expect him to do it just know that he will hopefully be there when you come back. Talk to him about it and see what he thinks. My bf is going through a lot right now and he needs his time to figure everything out and recover, I am waiting for him because I don’t want anyone else, and when he is ready to take the next step in our relationship I will be here.

i second loney’s opinion. you have to do what you have to do. if this really is the love of your life, things between you and he will work out when you get back.
