Don’t ya hate when that happens! I always try and get in a little self study if I have way too much free time. You know the things that are of personal interest!

If you’re at work, shouldn’t you, you know, be working?

Well, of course Miss Jessica Bunny is right! Work first. You/OP made it sound like all work completed, all creative work ideas exhausted, etc. Work first! But don’t just sit and do nothing is my point — you will fry your brain or fall asleep especially if you are there all by yourself! LOL (appologies for any missunderstandings)

Do you have any paperwork to catch up on? I’m sure if you say to your manager you need some work he/she will give you some.

Yea, that is hard. You are pretty much tied to your desk. Then I will stand with my first advice! Personal enrichment! You go anonymous!

You don’t have a superior? You can’t reorganise an inefficient system? Do a presentation to help your staff better perform in their jobs?

Enjoy this job while you have it. Most of the time you really have to work at a job.

Folks, this is a MANAGER you are talking to. They have already thought of these things, and most likely done it. It is really hard to kill 4 hours if you have already done it all. I stand by my origional advice - study something that is of personal interest, self growth. Maybe it’s even how to be an excellent/better manager.

Actually NoGifts, me too. But I CHOOSE to belive OP. Besides that, I already asked the OP about it and they pretty much said what I thought. It is pretty easy to get burned out on what OP is doing for a living you know? It is best to know let your brain go to mush! LOL!

Geeze. My typos are pretty bad I would think! Sorry — hope you can make heads AND tails out of it! LOL!
