Cat help, easy question..kinda.

Ok so my cat is just laying next to me. Im in bed with the computer in my lap and itunes on loud and the comp volume to the max. I listen to rock, pop, etc. not really quiet stuff. So was wondering if its hurting my cat. I mean she seems content to just lay right next the the comp. and she doesnt flinch or anything. This laying in bed with music loud is an everyday thing cuz I do it when im going to bed (ik bad sleeping habits, im not normal) and on weekends. Its rare my room is quiet when im in it. My bedroom doors closed too, dont know if that makes a difference. So ive been doing that since I got my cat though and the tv is always loud when its on which is most of the time cuz some ones always watching tv in the living room. Shes not deaf cuz she reacts to sound normally or at least it seems normal. And even with the music on she acts like she can still hear other stuff like a car outside ( i can hear) or the tv down stairs. Every once in a while she looks like shes listening for something. so what do u think?

A lot of cats like music. Knowing cats, if they did not like the music, then they would be scrating at the door to get out.

Cats are selfish, they are known for it, not loyal at all, a dog may sit and stay there even if the music is distressing or painful etc just because dogs are that way, cats are not, if the music bothered your cat even a little it would be gone so I wouldn’t worry if I were you. If a cat doesn’t like something then it will not hesitate to let you know.
Just make sure that if at any time the cat is free to leave if it wants.

Does anyone else’s cat get jealous of their laptop/pc? My cat tries to sit on the keyboard to stop me from typing and pet him.

That is a generalization. Actually, my cat is extremely loyal and affectionate, and I’ve known many others that were as well. Your statement is like saying that all men are a-holes, just because you may have once had one who was.

Actually it is a fact and was even recorded as fact when they egyptans worshiped cats and also in some other cultures a cat is known for this fact, you may think/believe your cat would do anything for you but I can bet if you stopped feeding him for a few days or weeks he would up and leave you for someone else without a second thought where as a dog would die of starvation just to stay.

But you are lucky to have a cat that shows a tad more loyalty than most, my cat is very friendly and loving but I know if someone around me started to put down cream and salmon he would be gone.

Your cat loves you and if she was upset by the music, then she would be wanting out.
