hey this is one for doctors or girls.

im late teens and have been on my period for about 4 yrs and am just starting to wonder if this is normal. when i first start to bleed im always heavy and there are some clot-like -things that are there but not like blood then i stop for a while then start back and get lots of tiny little clot-type-things that are blood. i diddnt want to go to a docktor in case it was normal and he thought i was stupid and im sorry if this was gross but im worried

Not all women experience the same types of menstrual cycles. I didn’t see anything alarming in your post, but, please remember how important it is that you see a gynecologist at least once a year … and even more often if you feel concerned about something.

As to being afraid of sounding stupid when asking a question of a doctor: when it comes to our health, there are no stupid questions. Doctors are well prepared for the fact that patients need to be educated and there’s no question that they consider stupid or are unwilling to answer. Ask away - that’s what they’re there for!
