Hello, I’m an American needing help with an English phrase my friend used.

I have an English friend who told me that when I come visit him, he’ll take me on an open-topped bus and “we can huddle against the drought.” I looked up drought and it just says “draft.” What does he mean by that phrase?

He means that you two can stay close together because the wind will be cold. (open topped bus, cold wind….) :)

It means you can huddle close together to stay warm against the cold wind.
