Why would you want to complicate your life and hook up with someone like that? Let him get better and when he does get better maybe tell him if you still like him. Until then, stay away!

What is it about this guy that you really like? Is he desperate for friendship? A pushover? Is he a teddy bear? What is it that makes it easy for you to like him? How do you compare him to other guys?

Figure out what’s driving your desire.

i would tell him since its not his fault
but it might be really complicated being with him so if you think you wont be able to handle it dont tell him
