I have had a horrible tax season!
I have never prepared my own taxes. I moved this year and used a new company. They made a mikstake on my taxes. I had to send the IRS an amendment. Now the IRS has sent me a new form, 8863. I get the point of the form. I know what they want from me. I have no idea where to find this information. I’ve called the tax company back. They’re closed for the season. I have looked online and all that I can find are sthe same instructions that are on the actual form (written in some broad language that I cannot comprehend). I do not want to have to contact and Hand R Block for less money than it will probably cost me to have this form filled out. Does anyone have any advice on how to fill this thing out?
