the best one I ever saw was when my physical science teacher took some hydrochloric acid, some bakeing soda, and some lithmus paper. *the following explanation is for scientific purposes only. do not try this at home! .. theres a lot at stake if you get it wrong*he dropped a roofing nail into the acid and let us watch it disolve to prove it was acid, then he mixed the bakeing soda with the hydrochloric acid until the lithmus paper said it was PH neutral, then proceded to use it as a mouth rinse to show that while you wouldnt want to “drink it” it was chemically inert and contact with human tissue wouldnt harm you.

kwl but smthng chldren would enjoy watching or doing…. maybe smthng u would jst see and say whoa! :)
I don’t remember anything O_o…skl days are over,
well, only thing i remember is breaking a test tube…..got a grt scolding for hours!! Good’o days!!!
do you have an electrical outlet on its own breaker, two copper wires with insulation, and a pickle?
the pickle actually conducts electricity, or glows or something wierd like that
if nothing else, the liquid nitrogen and the rubber ball were always good for effect
easy! coke and mentos! there’s a proper way of doing it, but i cant remember but its awesome!

oh i did that once … and burnt my chemistry teacher too , she was not happy XD

isnt it more like physics then?
there was another one, where you boil fairy liquid and then put it on your hand then set it on fire. and it didnt hurt… i wasnt listening in that class, but it looked kwl….
where you use a magnetized rod to bend a stream of water.

I suppose it could be.. but its because of the acetic acid in the pickle reacting to the electricity that makes it glow.. I thought it was neat.

well it was technically her fault so i wasnt told or anything like that :)
ooh Im such an idiot.. chemical volcano
vinegar, bakeing soda, and boiling water
faboom (they never let me use the lab unsupervised)

if you want to add an interesting twist to it, I think this is the same formula used in a beaker to inflate a baloon (it doesnt blow it up all the way but its fun to see)
in my college chemistry lab, we electrocuted a pickle, and then analyzed something about it. i don’t remember the details though. in the end, it didn’t work - and i remember why! (the pickle was electrocuted, but the results weren’t as expected)
we twisted some tissue with our hands to connect the pieces, but didn’t account for the fact that the sweat from our hands rubbed off onto the tissue when we twisted it, and the NaCl interacted with the rest of the experiment and made the results innacurate. kinda cool. sorry for the vagueness, but if you find a reference to this, it was pretty cool to do. intro chem, first semester.

you are always a genius :P(psss are you really planned to burn ur teacher :P? )
not really…. *looks all innocent* :) lol no really i didnt mean too
Well, if you really did it, it will be much cooler(but, not for your teacher though :P)

nah she is too nice to me to blame me for smthng :)
like the most
Purifying water that mean having H2O from some kind of polluted one

the actual experiment isnt that fun…. but it is pretty cool :)
We did the flaming jelly baby experiment in College. Where you heat some chemicals up (a hypochlorate mixture) and drop the jelly baby in the test tube. The sugars in the jelly baby are reduced in a pretty violent reaction which burns the jelly baby and makes it glow.
thts one mean way of killing a jelly baby :D
but yeah tht sounds awesome :)
I lit a table on fire with alchohol once. does that count? lol
