Stagnant much?

Long shot maybe but would anyone like to get away? Far from someone lacking in esteem but my life is not turning out the way I have pictured and I have tried multiple things and ways and ideas and now believe I need a change of scenery, pace, people, purpose, just a change.

Anyone want to take the chance on diving into a new city, hell a new country even. Yeah I know, that’s what people come to NY for but I was born here and it hasn’t helped me. No judgments or offense but I’m not looking for any just graduated high-school and wanting to leave home semi-children. I’m talking to adults who may not have the relationship, job, opportunities, experiences, whatever you want or feel you need to become self-actualized. And like me you want to just strike out and hit the road letting the wind blow you towards your destiny, or at least some memory-bankable experiences but have been held back from fear of what friends, family, people will say if you pick up and take off to teach English in Korea, go live on a commune to learn natural medicine, study the mating calls of tropical birds, hit the road with your laptop and determination to finish that Great American novel you half started or just start driving with a video camera and document who, where, what and how far your car, money and charisma can get you. That people will say, if you’re like me, that in your early 30’s you should be more mature and settled and resigned I guess to your current life.

So I need help figuring out what to do I guess. I want to be happy and enjoy the world and my place in it, find myself (whatever that means), stare into the abyss until it stares back and at least be able to say I enjoyed the journey to wherever I end up. Anyone have any advice on where to go or what to do? any connections?

So if you are that mature but bright-eyed and bushy-tailed adult who still believes in happy endings and wants to take the reins and live not merely exist, contact me and let’s talk a bit and maybe support each other or make mutual plans. If you’ve been where I am now and come through it I would love to hear an inspiring story but please, I am not anti-religious but I don’t want to be fervently proselytized. If something worked for you and you’d like to mention it fine but no commercials. Also I want to hear from the positive and hopeful like-minded individuals only, no sour commiserations wanted. Best wishes to all who are reading this:)
