Another slap across the face
So expected that you don’t feel any pain
Not this time, no not this time
Always told you’re no good, over and over again
No words could hurt you more
Nothing can heal you now, tears fall like a silent rain
You don’t feel, you don’t
You take their beatings, bear them silently
Don’t cry cause you might break
Can’t smile cause it only hurts
No one knows cause they don’t care
No one cares cause they don’t know
You can’t take it, you fall
Cower behind your wall
Do they know what you go through?
Would it make a difference if it wasn’t you?
Try so hard not to let your fear show
Erase the pain from your face
You can hear the ragged breathing
Then the screaming that fills the empty space
You take in the threats and remarks
And you hang your head in shame
Tears falling like silent rain
No one knows about the silent rain
Falling down on your world
