How did you injure it? How old are you? How long have you been dancing for? What kind of dancing do you do?

I injured it at a dance competition while i was stretching. i should have warmed up longer but i went into the splits to soon into the warm-up’s I’m afraid. I’m 16 btw. and i do Ballet and Jazz.

Then ask your instructor. He/She should be able to explain it because I sure can’t. There doesn’t really seem to be a reason from what you’ve told me. Although I know it is a very bad place to injure.. Personal experience. My sympathy is with you!

well i asked my instructor and she said that hamstrings tend to take a while to heal, and I’ve done everything she’s told me, (hot/cold, stretch, etc) but this is ridiculous. I’m scared ill hurt it again. It’s holding me back from dancing the way i want too.

I’ve been dancing my whole life. My Aunt was a professional Ballet dancer for years and has always been my instructor. If there is one thing I’ve learned ; You HAVE to work through the pain. If it hurts. It’s getting better. Like learning to first stretch so far.

well of course, but it’s an unusual pain and everytime i go into the splits it works up with pain and i try to go farther each time but it feels just like it did the day i hurt it. it scares me, i just dont want to hurt it more. idk

(that’s really cool that your aunt was/is your instructor!)

leprechauns are real..if you believe. haha ok so no. but Ireland is still amazing.

Canada is nothing special. it’s always windy where i live and then the next day could either be super hot, or starts snowing. crazy whether. plus there’s not much to look at when you live on the prairies. lol. idk, i suppose it’s alright. i guess. but i want to experience other cultures too.

Yup! But the past couple days have been SCORCHING!!
It’s sort of crazy.. It rains and is windy all the time. But then suddenly, it will stop. For like.. Three weeks. And be WAY too hot. Then the rain comes back..

oh really? so is your city like a (example) new york type of city? like, is it really modernized and stuff? or is it more low key?

It’s sort of.. on it’s way.. There’s town which is fairly modern..ish.. and quite a few shopping centres average one each village.. but it’s nothing like new york..
