I want to get your honest opinions.

Do you think DisneyWorld is actually fun? Or is it just commercially driven thing…where your every wish is supposedly met, whereupon you could just drop a piece of gum wrapper and the ground and it’ll be hurriedly swept up?

WEll I’ll think about taking my gasp, 4 siblings. The youngest being Hannah and she seems to love pink things so it’ll work. Do you think it’s worth the amount of money needed and such?

And can you really have fun without a great deal of money at your disposal…or would that just depress you to know you are on a budget?

Well, ironically, the site below is currently experiencing “technical difficulties” (does give one pause for thought re: the technical expertise behind their rides…)

http://parksmedia.disney.go.com/wdw.html
Site link advertises: “Affordable Disney World®
Free Disney Dining Plan! Only $58 per day per person. Book here now.”

Srinh, I’ve never been to Disney World, but some of my favorite childhood memories are of trips to Disneyland. I know a couple in their 60’s who go to Disneyland once a year, come rain or come shine. Hubby & I did that into my mid-twenties - but that the company I worked for provided major discount tickets. Also, the daughter of a friend of mine recently got married at Disneyland and honeymooned there.

It’s never been inexpensive. If you have to adhere to a strict budget, for the kids’ sake, I’d suggest making sure they get onto all of the neat rides and cutting back on the expensive toys that’ll be broken before they get home. Taking pix will give them much longer lasting memories. Don’t know what sort of checking they might doing of backpacks these days, but another way of saving major bucks would be to smuggle your own snacks in.

Never been but I went to a similar type place.

Glad I went, didn’t care about spending money on the sweet foods or stuffed toys, and still remember almost every ride I went on.
