why is my computer screen lagging?

it hasnt alwase done that and i think it has something to do with my tower since i recently just purchased a screen.

how bad is the lagging? can you describe this in more details?

could be a problem with memory, with graphic card, or even heat.
i can be a different hardware problem that causes the computer to get periodically stuck for some seconds (like when you enter an unreadable disk to your cd drive)

so, more details would be helpful.

Clear off your desktop and see what happens. As in free up space
