power help: Is there any public figure you would feel comfortable with being Kira from Death Note? - Help.com

Is there any public figure you would feel comfortable with being Kira from Death Note?

after the convo in this (http://help.com/post/283273-what-if-it-were-possible) thread derailed, i started thinking…

even if you are comfortable with the idea of one person holding the power of life and death over everyone else in the world, who would you feel comfortable holding that power? anyone other than yourself?

umm no? i dont know about you but i doubt anyone would trust the holder of a death note and vice versa.
it would become a frantic paranoid fight in the end, just like death note

i completely agree. i just couldn’t imagine it working out well. but i wonder if it could exist in any possible way. like are there certain checks and balances that would make the system ok? maybe if there were two death notes?

i doubt it.
even if it was remotely possible to make a book that could kill a person by writing a name in it, humans by nature are biased and it wouldnt work out like death in reality does
