I did something stupid

its a long story but here is the short version i was really unhappy with my appearance a little over a year ago so i pretended to look like someone else online i meet this guy and ended up being really good friends with him eventually i told him the truth we dated for a bit after cause he tried to forgive me but we ended up spliting up since then i have dealt with my issues and i am so ashamed of what i did. Well some bloke has just done it to me im not as close this guy as i was him we only speak online but its really bothered me so how he must have felt i can’t imagine we are still on friendly terms so i feel like i wanna text him and say sorry again but im also thinking should i let sleeping dog lye i mean its been over with him for months now any advice please

I think apologizing again would make you feel better, and it certainly won’t hurt anything with him. Just tell him what happened, how you feel, etc… pour your heart out. You’ll feel better about yourself, and who knows; maybe he’ll realize how you feel and be able to forgive you for it.

What I don’t get is how did you know the picture you used was a better one than your own?
Some people just love people who are really ugly.
Many super models are really ugly.

I’d get in touch - the worst case outcome is he is not interested, but it’s a testament to you that you understand and feel bad for it, and no-one should be too proud to accept an apology.
