Just a random poem I wrote.
This is in memory of someone who died last week. Please tell me what you think of this poem, thanks :)
WHO DARES WINS
From the cold, White mist, A warrior emerges,
He no longer has the fear or urges,
A sword in his hand, Helmet in the other,
He soon discovers,
Walking through the long grass,
The terrified times have passed,
Ecstatic from victory, Devastation from the losses of lives,
He looks up to the heavens, He wonders how, He wonders why,
Next minute he knows, His family appears,
The sky becomes clear,
Fires of horrific emotions disapear,
He runs to his wife,
His children cry,
He thanks the lord,
This is what he has been praying for,
From the cold evil gray to the feeling of victory and galore,
The battle is over, The war is won,
All the good and bad deeds are now finally done,
People sing, dance and celebrate,
This was definitley worth the wait,
People watch the awards to the soldiers from the King,
And this warrior remembers one thing:
Who Dares Wins.
