Why my pokies why?

Ok, I am a self confessed poke’maniac. In saying that I have a pokemon related dilemma. See I have and play pokemon leaf green, but recently bought pokemon platinum. I played platinum, loved it too, but when I got to the part where pal park is opened I encountered what I call the most frustrating and annoying issue ever. See I inserted leaf green as instructed so I could migrate my old pokies to my new game but instead, it DELETED my old game from leaf green. It did this THREE FRIGGEN TIMES!!!!! Can anyone out there tell me what could possible be causing this and how the hell i can fix it?

Ok never mind, I did some searching on some game sites, turns out the GBA game i bought is fake, curse that shifty salesman, I believed what I bought to be real. :(
